Release Notes
0.5.1d-2 - 0.5.2 (Trinket) - November 22, 2008
Trinket is an interim update which should really be 0.5.1e, but I don't care. It focuses for the most part on a few style issues.
Fixes/Minor Tweaks
- Changed bluish-purple color around the site to a nicer light-blue. I think it's kinda a big deal.
- Revamped infobox with snazzier expand/collapse system and a highlighting effect when a new item is added.
- Improved almanac navigation system a bit
- Re-styled "Pillage Tyme!" box at the end of combat
- Navigation buttons have been redone as more dynamic items that highlight and are prettier.
- Updates to the Almanac
- Minor typo/bug fixes here and there

0.5.0 - 0.5.1d-2 (Hatti) - April 5 through 23, 2008
This, the first major update cycle since the launch of faux-beta, adds a bunch of new major features, as well as continues tweaks and fixes of old stuff. Not much new content, but again building the capacity for yet richer content.
Fixes/Minor Tweaks
- Fixed wonkiness caused by loss of stats
- More consolidation of info messages into the info box
- More standardization of CSS
- Fixed bug whereby you could manipulate inventory items while in combat
- Some balancing changes with stats
- Training or swimming can only be done for so long per day now
- New Level calculation. Still meaningless, though
- 0.5.1b: Fixed yet more CSS and crap, and added some messages that should have changed on certain conditions, added name to map of island
- 0.5.1b: Fixed profile search a little so that 1) you can't search with less than 3 characters, and 2) pressing enter in the search box actually performs the search: amazing!
- 0.5.1c: Updated Almanac
- 0.5.1c: Quest items (which are weightless) no longer show their weight
- 0.5.1c: Fixed minor nonsense in the combat script
- 0.5.1d: Cleanup and standardization of CSS and positioning, especially with location titles and images
- 0.5.1d: Fixed an error with profile searching
- 0.5.1d: Using useless things (i.e., the deck of cards) now properly shows a use message
- 0.5.1d: Updated the Almanac
- 0.5.1d: Made some cosmetic changes to the front page
- 0.5.1d: Decided to adopt a ridiculous version naming scheme
Feature Updates
- Tabs have increased and deepened to accomodate all the new features; new "Character" tab now contains Inventory, Skills, Log, and BMail; Journal has been subsumed into the Log.
- New "Profiles" tab allows you to look at the profiles of the various citizens of Propitia
- "Almanac" tab, replacing the "Documentation" tab, contains extensive documentation and backstory of the game and the gameworld in wiki-like format
- Skills added. New "Skills" tab allows you to look at what you've so far learned, as well as performing the skills which are performable outside of combat. Combat skills are performable in combat. Weird.
- All food items now have nutritional values. The nutrients they contain are used when learning or performing skills, and some just give you minor stat points
- New BMail system allows inter-player messaging
- "Log" tab contains old "Journal" as well as new "Character Info" page, which just gives you some information about yourself
- "Options" tab now contains some personalization options
- New "Forgot password" option on front page automates the process of password reset
- Removed Elliott's wiki; it had been taken over by spammers, and its function has largely been taken over by the Almanac
- 0.5.1b: Can now wash dishes at water bodies
- 0.5.1b: Some info items have handy links to take you right to the relevant sub-tab, saving an entire click!
- 0.5.1c: Inventory item descriptions will also include some stats for the item, if it is equippable or edible; just click the "item stats" button to switch views
- 0.5.1d: Options page now contains an option to change your email address, as well as select how many info items you want to allow
Content Updates
- Extensive backstory available in Almanac
- New skills available to learn at the Duhjo
- A new effect or two; overeating is a bad idea
- Store interfaces a bit more intuitive
- Updated pictures of fish and fish in newspaper a bit
- 0.5.1b: Added a new quest beginning at the soup kitchen
- 0.5.1b: Added a bunch of new food recipes (and a hat) using the quest reward
- 0.5.1c: Added a new passive skill, acquired in combat
- 0.5.1d: Added a minor but rational additional reward to the soup kitchen quest
